Welcome to the Buffalo RNA Group!
Buffalo RNA Group (BRG) was established in 2023 to facilitate scientific interactions among RNA researchers in the Buffalo metropolitan area. BRG comprises more than 50 researchers from research institutes, such as the University of Buffalo, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, and local primarily undergraduate institutions, including St. Bonaventure University, SUNY Geneseo, etc.

BRG offers a welcoming and inclusive environment to everyone working in the Buffalo metropolitan area. Our members are in a diverse career stages, with a balanced mix of junior and senior scientists. We strive to ensure that every BRG member, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, or career stage, has ample chances to participate in BRG's decision-making. We also offer awards to encourage the participation of junior and underrepresented scientists in our activities.

BRG currently sponsors monthly virtual seminars, and maintains a website, an X account, a mailing list, and a Slack channel. These activities promote collaboration and exchange of novel ideas and experimental techniques, fostering cohesion among faculty, graduate students, and postdoctoral trainees.
